How Do We Price Our Reclaimed Harwoods?

Reclaimed teak and other hardwoods from South East Asia are rare commodities. Once we find the wood, we have to certify the source and paper trail are legitimate.  Our mills then put a huge amount of effort into crafting the reclaimed wood into beautiful, useful things. Reclaimed wood of great age will not last forever. Our inventory is naturally in a state of constant change as items sell or as raw material dwindles or expands in availability. 

TECHTONA produces a significant amount of inventory on spec, but nothing is mass produced and roughly half of all sales are custom orders. The items you see on this website are all available. Some of the items we produce are one-off unique pieces that will never be replicated in quite the same way. The pricing for this material, whether flooring or tables and chairs fluctuate depending on availability, shipping cost changes and other vagaries that impact the global market. Our prices also reflect the fact that we pay high wages to our mill workers and provide housing. 

Given this we prefer to quote prices for items on a case by case, real-time basis, rather than posting prices. Once we quote you a price, it will not change.  Please contact us at the phone or email below and we will be happy to quote you firm prices for any item immediately.
