Texture is an amazing thing. The comforting, tactile sensation of highly textured, reclaimed, old growth teak underfoot is a unique feeling we hope our readers get to experience. The teak shown here was salvaged from a demolished timber mill. Its dark color indicates very old growth teak, harvested in the late 19th to early 20th centuries from the Bago Yoma region of central Burma. The ban saw marks are from massive blades donated to Burma by the US government in the 1940s to help it process hardwood more efficiently. We’ve crafted flooring and paneling from this old growth teak in widths 4”-8”. Call for more information.
