Emerald Pavilion, completed in spring 2019, is a one of kind home in the Turks and Caicos overlooking the boundless expanse of the Caribbean. The designer needed highly unusual 17’-18’ contiguous reclaimed Burmese teak paneling and flooring for certain sections of the home.
Techtona sourced these from early 20th century warehouses in Rangoon. Reclaimed Burmese teak is used throughout the home in the bathroom vanities, stair treads, bed frames and other applications. The light, ‘beachy’ look of the teak was accomplished with a non-toxic peroxide treatment. Below are some of the interior applications for this stunning tropical home.
